Middle Bass Island - William Howard Taft at the Middle Bass Club

Presidential candidate William Howard Taft visited the Middle Bass Club in the fall of 1908, shortly before he was elected president. We had previously published some pictures of this visit and have now added a number of newspaper articles referring to his visit here as well as new pictures. We have also improved the old pictures.
